E-commerce
|
|
In recent years the Internet and E-commerce have drastically changed the
way we do business in this global economy. There are no longer physical
boundaries that separate markets from consumers. Nameway® recognises our
customer's needs for the most sophisticated and up-to-date E-commerce tools.
Many of our resources are dedicated to being able to provide you and your
business a 'complete' E-commerce solution.
Everyday millions of people are connecting to the net. This means millions
of dollars in sales result from people buying from the web at online stores.
Online Sales have passed the billion dollar mark and the numbers are only
going up. The only way to stake your claim in this billion dollar market
is through E-commerce; selling your products and services through electronic
means. At Nameway®, our goal is to get your business up in the easiest and
most affordable way possible.
All of the Nameway® web hosting and reseller plans include E-commerce software
and tools at no extra charge.

What is a Shopping Cart?
A shopping cart program is a way to sell your products online. It tracks
all the items that the shopper wants to buy and then enables the customer
to purchase them from the comforts of their own home. When shoppers are
ready to buy, they head to the checkout counter. This is where they review
all the items in their shopping cart, make changes, decide on things like
gift wrapping and shipping, and finally, hand over their credit card number.
All Nameway® web hosting accounts include shopping cart/ecommerce software.
Shopping Cart Options
Our web hosting plans include three pre-installed shopping carts, with two
more being added shortly. We also recommend two alternate shopping carts
that do not require a merchant account in order to operate. With these two
shopping carts you can be accepting credit cards almost instantly. Compare
these options and choose the right one for your business.

Did you know? Interchange© is one of the most feature rich shopping cart software in the market. It is one of the most powerful tools available to automate and database-enable your web site or build online applications. If you've been thinking of using tools from BEA, IBM, Microsoft, Broadvision, Intershop, Blue Martini, Open Market, Mercantec, Macromedia, or Interworld to build your web site or online application, you'll be making a serious mistake if you do not evaluate Interchange before you make your decision. If you've been thinking of building a system by hand in Java, Perl, ASP, PHP, Cold Fusion, or any other environment, you should consider the time savings that building on the Interchange platform may bring you.
Interchange is well suited for a variety of purposes, including: sales, order processing, content management, customer service, reporting and analysis, and personalization. Interchange has been implemented for traditional retail sales, digital goods delivery, B2B parts re-ordering, non-commerce content management, auctions, order status checking, supply chain management, project management, online collaboration, and even an MP3 Jukebox. Interchange can be used as a completely self-contained standalone product or as part of a larger system. It can be integrated with payment processing services, ERP systems, point-of-sale systems, accounting systems, external content management systems, Java-based application servers, sales force automation systems, customer relationship management systems, e-mail campaign management systems, and remote databases on virtually any platform.
Installation of your own Sercurity Certificate:
Step 1. You need your own legitimate domain web space (a subdirectory on geocities won't do).
Step 2. You need a real address. (A box number in Las Vegas and a hotmail address is not good enough).
Step 3. You need some proof of being legitmate and not just some crook who occasionally visits a cyber cafe. To proove the legitimacy of your business you need these documents:
For a Home Based Business you will need:
For Partnerships and Incorporated businesses you will need:
Step 4. Send us a ticket so we can generate your CSR.
Step 5. Order your SSL certificate and submit your CSR.
Step 6. Fax these papers to the place you are buying your SSL certificate from.
It takes a few days to complete all the checks. The procedure is very thorough to ensure that only real and legitimate businesses get the secure certificate.
Step 7. After you have obtained your SSL certificate, submit a support ticket and we will install it for you.
