| How do I set up the Name My Phone service? |
To set up your Name My Phone service: Log In to your account. From the menu at the left select domain names and then my domains. This will bring up a list of all domains in your account. Click on the domain you wish to manage or type it into the box at the bottom center of the page. If your domain is not already using Nameway®'s DNS servers, you'll need to change the service in the first section (DNS Server) to Nameway®. Use the change button to do this. Once your domain is using Nameway®'s servers, you will see the section in your domain's control panel to set up the Name My Phone service. Scroll down the page until you see this section. If the service is currently disabled, you'll need to click the change
button to enable it. You will then see the configuration settings
to set up the service. Following is a description of each field to assist you in entering the correct information: Host Name - Enter the host name that will refer to your phone (i.e. "phone" for phone.myname.com). Phone Number - Enter the 10 digit phone number of the device area code first, without any spaces or punctuation (ex. 8005551212). Service Type - Select the service your mobile device uses. If your service is not listed, enter other. You can still use the feature if you know the email address your service company uses to reach your device (Call your mobile service company to find out). Device Email - Fill this field only if you have selected "other" above. This is where the messages will be sent. The email address is often your10digitphonenumber@myservicecompanymessaging.com. Site Theme - A nice feature about this service is that you can choose from several different themes to be displayed in the web page people will access to send you a message. CC Addresses - Your phone is down, or you want to reply by email to the message you just received. Well, you just need to set-up a cc email address (like your home or work email address) and all those messages will be CC-ed to that address. You can add up to 3 CC email addresses. |

| What is the counter on my Name My Phone page? |
Most service providers have a character limit on all messages being sent to mobile devices. The maximum amount of characters differs from provider to provider, 100 or 140 being the most common. The counter allows users sending you a message to see how many characters are left before the message gets cut off. |
